Substitute Educational Paraprofessional
Responsible for providing academic, behavioral and physical support to students with special needs under the direction of certified staff. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED). If you have a Paraeducator assessment certificate or 60 higher education semester credits or more, please upload these documents in your application. Paraprofessionals must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job, which entails lifting, bending, and twisting in various settings. Be a motivated, self-starter with the ability to handle situations with a calm demeanor. A high level of compassion for students with developmental disabilities is essential. Flexibility and a cooperative nature are required. Previous relevant experience preferred. Various assignments PreK to grade 12, ranging from 2.0 hours to 6.5 hours per day, in 1:1, small group and mainstream classroom settings. Pay rate: $17.50 per hour; also eligible for sick leave.
