Requirements / Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of at least two years of study at an accredited institution of higher education or an Associate's degree in a related field, such as Psychology, Child Development, or a closely related discipline. At least two (2) years of successful experience working with individuals with disabilities in the specialized field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification; or proof of completion of the 40-hour RBT training and successful completion of the RBT Competency Assessment, with eligibility to obtain RBT certification; or willingness to obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) within one (1) year of employment. Must annually pass the RBT Competency Assessment, as required by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), under the supervision of the District's Autism and Behavior Program Specialists. Valid First Aid and CPR certifications issued by an authorized agency and the ability to maintain current certifications. Must be able to obtain certification through the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention. Valid California driver's license. Some positions may require the ability to speak, read, and write in a designated second language. Bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish are desirable.
