To support the philosophy behind MFA's precision agriculture programs by providing top-notch service to provide our customers with an accurate and timely customer experience, leading to increased farm production and profitability. Additionally, assist with small-scale research trials across the state testing MorCorn and MorSoy varieties and other products including fertilizer, seed treatments, fungicides, etc., and help facilitate MFA's Training Camp.
Our expectations are that you:
- Are available and willing to work overtime (as needed)
- Are able to do heavy lifting, loading, climbing, and bending (50-100 pounds)
- Are willing to learn how to grid soil samples and the process of turning that data into variable rate fertilizer prescriptions
- Are able to travel
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills required for dealing with the public and private sector.
- Have excellent time management and interpersonal skills required.
- Have excellent PC skills, including computer hardware, Windows operating software, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. (SST Summit will be taught)
- Are organized, detail and goal-oriented
- Are a motivated self-starter
- Class E License required
- A farming, mechanical and/or computer background (helpful)
- Understand MFA's precision agronomy data management systems
- Understand trial setup and reasoning behind field research
- Greater understanding of MFA territory and our member-owners
