Elite Executive Partners is seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as the technical authority for all structured cabling systems installed within modular and concrete shelter solutions. This role is critical to ensuring cabling quality, design accuracy, manufacturing consistency, and compliance with customer and industry standards across multiple manufacturing facilities. Essential Functions

  • Serve as the technical authority for all structured cabling systems, methods, and standards
  • Develop and maintain company-wide cabling standards, materials, installation methods, and best practices
  • Ensure all installations comply with engineering drawings, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards
  • Support development of cabling systems optimized for modular construction and prefabrication
  • Review and support execution of:
    • Cable routing and labeling
    • Termination details
    • Bills of materials (BOMs)
    • Structured cabling drawings and specifications
  • Act as the primary liaison between departments
  • Provide hands‑on technical support during production ramp‑ups, rework activities, and complex builds
  • Troubleshoot cabling issues during integration and final assembly
  • Drive “first-time-right” builds by reducing rework and installation errors
  • Resolve technical assembly questions while supporting production teams
  • Coordinate cabling integration with:
    • Structural systems
    • Prefabrication systems
    • Electrical systems
    • HVAC and mechanical equipment
  • Collaborate closely with various SMEs to prevent system conflicts
  • Establish structured cabling inspection criteria and acceptance standards
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for cabling defects and warranty issues
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of documentation packages including:
    • Test results
    • Labeling records
    • As‑built documentation
  • Train engineers, supervisors, and production leads on cabling standards and installation practices
  • Assist with development of SOPs, work instructions, and visual standards
  • Serve as the escalation point for technician questions and non‑standard builds
  • Support customer audits, walkthroughs, and issue resolution activities
  • Serve as a technical resource for customer cabling questions and clarifications
  • Participate in lessons learned and continuous improvement reviews for major programs

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands‑on structured cabling experience in data center, telecom, or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of copper and fiber optic systems, including:
    • Termination
    • Testing
    • Labeling
    • Routing and pathways
    • Grounding practices
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills for complex technical issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • BICSI Installer, Technician, or Designer certification
  • Experience supporting telecom or data center customers
  • Experience developing SOPs and standardized work processes
  • Previous experience in a lead technician, SME, or technical authority role

Travel & Work Environment

  • Flexible working hours
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
