Structural Project EngineerA leading global architecture and engineering firm with over 100 years of legacy is seeking a Structural Project Engineer for their Minneapolis Omaha office. Their portfolio encompasses federal, healthcare, aviation, education, and commercial projects, delivered through integrated architecture, engineering, and interior design services.This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex engineering projects with a focus on protective design and federal infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Design & Technical LeadershipLead complex engineering design projects and structural system developmentPrepare comprehensive design documentation, including calculations, drawings, and specificationsConduct constructability reviews and risk management assessmentsMentor and supervise Structural Engineers, EITs, and TechniciansCoordinate with cross-functional teams and serve as client liaisonSpecialized ExpertiseEvaluate structural assets against threat levelsDesign blast and ballistic protection systems based on Charge Weights and Protection LevelsPerform Progressive Collapse AnalysisFederal project experience highly valued (DoD, VA, GSA)Project ManagementManage multiple project timelines and budgets effectivelyEstablish design standards and procedures to manage work of staffAssist in the review of quality assurance and quality control evaluationsOversee documentation, specifications, and equipment selectionConduct site observations to ensure design complianceInterface with governing agencies for code complianceRequirements:Education & CertificationBachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil EngineeringProfessional Structural Engineer (PE) registrationMaster's Degree preferredActive industry membership with local, state, or national organization(s)Experience8+ years experience in engineering of building systems design (Pay commensurate with years of experience)Extensive knowledge of building codesProficiency in Protective Design Center protocolsExpertise in UFCs, TM 5-858 series, and EM1 documentsStrong background in façade hardening, perimeter protection, and progressive collapseTechnical SkillsAutoCAD and Revit proficiencyAdvanced problem-solving capabilitiesExcellence in project coordination and team leadershipCompensation & Benefits:Salary Range: $85,000 – $125,000, based on experienceMedical, dental, and vision coverageRetirement plan with company matchAccident and Critical Illness coverageHSA + FSA optionsCommuter BenefitsCompany-paid life insuranceShort-term and Long-term disabilityParental LeaveThis position offers an exceptional opportunity to work on significant projects while advancing your career in a collaborative, professional environment.The studio operates on a flexible hybrid schedule with three days in their collaborative office environment and two days working remotely, offering an ideal balance between in-person collaboration and remote flexibility.
