We compare with the best version of ourselves.As a Structural/Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for the mechanical engineering activities related to spacecraft design, manufacturing, testing, launch, and operations. Your activity may include the design, development, and qualification of EnduroSat generic satellite platforms, and/or satellites for specific customers.You are part of EnduroSat's system engineering team and you will participate in the full spacecraft lifecycle, from initial design to AIT and launch operations. You may be required to participate in technical meetings with customers, under the leadership of the system engineer.
This role is based in Denver, Colorado, where we are building a high-performing and fast-paced team. The position will be primarily on-site and in person at the office.Some of your daily tasks will include:Layout and mechanical accommodation of platform units and payloadManagement of mechanical interfaces with the launch service providerBuild FEM modelsCompute mechanical predictions for launch and test environments Identify stresses in the primary structureIdentify test success criteriaCheck the adequacy of unit qual levelsCorrelate models with test resultsInvestigation and closure of all issues related to mechanical behaviorWhat do we look for?Master of Science in aerospace engineering or mechanical engineering (or equivalent)7+ years experience in Space programs engineeringExcellent technical background in satellite Mechanical engineeringOpenness to knowledge sharing and willingness to mentor junior engineersUnderstanding the importance of the last-mile deliveryHave excellent communication skills and a positive attitudeHow to stand out?Experience in nanosatellites and small satellitesThorough understanding of thermal design engineeringWhat do we offer?Health insurance coverageMatching 401k planCollaboration with EnduroSat offices in Sofia, Berlin, and Toulouse, with occasional international travelSalary range: $130,000 - $180,000 per year.
