Strategic Sourcing Manager (Indirect) (Healthcare)
Work Hybrid (In office 3 days/week) within Oregon, Washington, Idaho or Utah.
Responsibilities
- Develop category strategies within assigned business units and drive fact‑based group decisions with significant operational or financial impact.
- Lead favorable results through providing leadership to the function, establishing medium to long‑range plans, and influence the organization.
- Negotiate and manage moderate‑complexity contracts for assigned commodities, ensuring cost savings and favorable terms.
- Recommend and implement sourcing, contracting and supplier management policies and procedures that provide financial strength and asset security.
- Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the procurement process, including evaluating existing contracts for savings opportunities.
- Lead sourcing events that produce value in alignment with the organization’s objectives.
- Prepare and present contract executive summaries and obtain approvals in accordance with governance policies.
- Create, manage and promote sound relationships with strategic suppliers and internal business partners.
- Partner with Supplier Relationship Managers as needed to resolve supplier issues.
- Analyze business cases, spend analytics, and financial models; translate data into convincing information.
- Utilize AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision‑making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or a related field.
- Seven (7) years of sourcing and contracting experience or related field experience.
- Prior experience with all elements of sourcing and category management for indirect services, including professional services and business process outsourcing.
- Demonstrated experience in the 7‑step strategic sourcing process with emphasis on category strategy development, RFx sourcing processes, and contract management.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to lead and prioritize activities.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and collaboration skills with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Proven ability to influence decision‑making and manage risk.
- Ability to develop and analyze business cases and financial models.
Compensation
The expected hiring range for a Strategic Sourcing Manager II is $101,150.00 – $136,850.00, with a bonus target of 15%. The full salary range for this role is $95,000.00 to $155,000.00.
