Job description:
Our amazing apartment community in the garden district of New Orleans, Louisiana is in need of a Maintenance Engineer, 2nd Class . The ideal candidate will be responsible for making daily rounds and maintaining the mechanical equipment including but not limited to Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Domestic Water Pumps, elevator equipment, building fire panel, and HVAC systems.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight of all mechanical and electrical equipment including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, domestic water pumps, elevator equipment, fire panel, HVAC system and all other assigned equipment
- Repair, maintain, monitor, test and perform all necessary Preventive Maintenance on all equipment
- Perform and maintain work to local, state and Federal codes
- Perform Property Maintenance such as work orders, make readies, appliance, plumbing and electrical repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair while maintaining accurate maintenance records
- Take required readings and maintain appropriate records
- Must be available to work 11pm to 7am rotation shift as well as weekends and on calls
Qualifications:
- 2nd Class Boilers License
- Boilers License
- HVAC Certification
- High School or Trade school diploma
