Position Overview
Professional experts are eligible to purchase medical insurance through Kaiser. Under general supervision, the Medical Professional Expert provides assistance and support in accordance with assignments and directions from the supervisor. Medical Professional Experts are used on a temporary basis for a specific project or projects, and terms of employment are described in the Professional Expert Agreement. They are not part of classified service and are at‑will employees with no entitlement rights to any position in the District.
Representative Duties
Provides medical care including patient assessment, emergency medical and mental health triage, diagnoses illnesses and injuries, develops treatment plans, and prescribes and administers medical treatments.
Qualifications and Physical Demands
- Education, experience and/or training that is directly related to the job category is required.
Conditions of Employment
This is a medical professional expert position. The District reserves the right to extend, modify, or eliminate this position based upon available funds. Effective dates of employment are arranged with the supervisor. Applications remain in the pool for one year. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. The District does not sponsor or transfer sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
