University Hospitals Beachwood Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Lifepoint Rehabilitation, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Physiatrist (PM&R) to join its inpatient rehabilitation program in Beachwood, Ohio. This independent contractor opportunity offers the chance to practice in a modern rehabilitation hospital with an experienced interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient physiatry care
  • Develop individualized rehabilitation treatment plans
  • Lead interdisciplinary team conferences
  • Collaborate with therapists, nursing, case management, and consulting physicians
  • Coordinate patient rehabilitation goals and discharge planning
  • Ensure compliance with quality, documentation, and regulatory standards
  • Support ongoing program development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with hospital leadership and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team

Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • Eligible for Ohio medical licensure and in good standing
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited PM&R residency or qualifying fellowship/training consistent with CMS rehabilitation requirements
  • Strong commitment to interdisciplinary rehabilitation medicine
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
