Physiatrist (PM&R)

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital, supported by Lifepoint Rehabilitation, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Physiatrist (PM&R) to join its inpatient rehabilitation team. This flexible independent contractor opportunity allows physicians to maintain an active rehabilitation practice with a manageable schedule, providing care for approximately 15 patients per week. The role involves assisting with call coverage and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to help patients recover from various complex conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient physiatry care
• Evaluate and manage approximately 15 patients each week
• Participate in shared call coverage
• Develop individualized rehabilitation treatment plans
• Lead interdisciplinary team conferences
• Collaborate with therapists, nursing, case management, and consulting physicians
• Coordinate patient rehabilitation goals and discharge planning
• Ensure compliance with quality, documentation, and regulatory standards

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
• Eligible for state medical licensure
