Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant – Miami-Fort Lauderdale

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to build their experience within a strong corporate environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end and year-end close
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Assist with AP, AR, and other general accounting functions as needed
• Partner with accounting and finance team members on special projects and process improvements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1+ years of accounting experience required
• Public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience
• Ideally a combination of public accounting and private/corporate accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Strong Excel skills
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
