Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Accountant to join a growing and well-established organization in Boca Raton. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to build on their experience in a dynamic environment with strong mentorship and long-term growth potential.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in corporate tax, compliance, and provisions, with exposure to public accounting or a corporate tax department. Candidates with CPA certification (or in progress) and Big 4 or regional public accounting experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax provisions (ASC 740)
- Support tax planning initiatives and identify opportunities for optimization
- Conduct tax research and document findings related to complex tax issues
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and filing requirements
- Assist with audits and respond to tax authority inquiries
- Maintain and improve tax processes, controls, and documentation
- Collaborate with external advisors and cross-functional internal teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification preferred (or actively pursuing)
- 2–5+ years of tax experience (public accounting or corporate)
- Experience with corporate tax compliance and provisions
- Knowledge of ASC 740 is a plus
- Familiarity with tax software such as OneSource, CorpTax, or similar tools
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills preferred
