Sr. Machine Learning Engineer

CrowdStrike is hiring a Sr. Machine Learning Engineer for its AIDR Engineering Team, supporting high-throughput, low-latency LLM inferencing. The role combines LLM post-training and data engineering aligned to rigorous evaluations, with engineering collaboration to help enable safe and secure enterprise AI application interactions.

Responsibilities

• Apply state-of-the-art machine learning approaches to accelerate data science delivery.
• Provide pragmatic engineering support to fast-moving research and development teams.
• Implement high-quality solutions that support customer-facing applications at scale.
• Perform in-depth analysis to identify potential vulnerabilities or gaps.
• Construct and maintain data pipelines, contributing to the training and implementation of custom models.
• Collaborate across teams to brainstorm, define, and develop solutions.

Requirements

• Prior experience in data engineering and architecture supporting advanced data science use cases.
• Deep understanding of LLM post-training methods and computational architectures.
• Knowledge of scalability and distributed systems, including sharding, partitioning, and concurrency.
• Team player mindset.
• Strong engineering fundamentals, spanning testing approaches, peer code reviews, and resilient architecture.
• Ability to thrive in a test-driven, collaborative, iterative development environment.
• Proven ability to meet commitments on time and deliver high-quality software with unit testing, code review, and regular checks-in for continuous integration.
• Demonstrated experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and drive business outcomes.

Role Details

Location: Sunnyvale, CA (remote)

Compensation: USD 164,000 - 295,000 per yearly
