Sr Embedded Systems Engineer (Hardware-focused)We are seeking a hands-on Sr Embedded Hardware Engineer to lead the design and development of embedded electronic systems from concept through production. This role is focused on hardware ownership, including schematic design, PCB layout, and system bring-up, with supporting firmware development.This is not a firmware-only role. Candidates should have strong experience designing and building physical hardware.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop embedded electronic systems from concept through productionCreate schematics and perform multi-layer PCB layoutDevelop analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits (sensor interfaces, power systems, high-speed signals)Own ECAD design work using tools such as Altium, Cadence, or OrCADPerform board bring-up, debugging, and validation using lab equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.)Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M or similar)Design power systems, including battery management and regulationCollaborate with mechanical teams on PCB/FPC integration and constraintsEnsure designs meet DFM/DFR, signal integrity, and EMI/EMC requirementsWork with manufacturing partners to transition designs from prototype to productionRequired Qualifications7+ years of experience designing embedded hardware systemsDemonstrated ownership of PCB design, including:Schematic capturePCB layout (multi-layer boards)Use of ECAD tools (Altium, Cadence, OrCAD, or similar)Experience with analog and mixed-signal circuit designExperience with power electronics or battery systemsProven experience taking hardware from concept through bring-up and productionHands-on experience debugging and validating physical hardware in a lab environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with flexible PCB (FPC) or rigid-flex designHigh-speed design experience, including signal integrity and impedance controlEmbedded firmware development in C/C++ (RTOS, ARM platforms)Experience with sensor systems, IoT devices, or consumer electronicsPython for test automation or validationWhat Success Looks LikeYou have designed and shipped embedded hardware productsYou are comfortable owning the full hardware lifecycleYou can move between circuit design, board layout, and firmware integrationYou are experienced working hands-on with lab hardware and debugging toolsBenefitsCompetitive base salary and overall compensation packageFull benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision401 (K) with generous company matchGenerous Paid time off (PTO)Vacation, sick, and paid holidaysLife Insurance coverageOpportunity to work on cutting-edge technology projectsEmployer is willing to sponsor qualified candidates for a non-immigrant work visa.
