RUCKUS is hiring a Senior Director of Engineering to lead a global organization driving the architecture, scalability, performance, and quality of the Ruckus One platform—serving millions of devices worldwide.

In this role, you'll define and execute the engineering strategy for a high-scale, cloud-native platform, enabling faster innovation, improved reliability, and secure, resilient services. Partnering closely with Product Engineering, Cloud Operations, Architecture, Security, and executive leadership, you'll shape the future of cloud-managed networking and large-scale device ecosystems. You'll combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership to build high-performing teams, accelerate platform modernization, and deliver distributed systems at massive scale that power the next generation of Ruckus cloud services.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering LeadershipLead and scale a global platform and infrastructure engineering organizationBuild and develop managers, architects, and senior technical leadersFoster a culture of innovation, accountability, and engineering excellenceDrive execution across strategic initiatives, balancing long-term architecture with near-term deliveryEstablish structures and processes that enable sustainable growth and scalabilityPlatform Strategy & ArchitectureDefine and execute the long-term platform engineering strategy for Ruckus OneLead technical decision-making for core platform servicesPartner with Product and Architecture leaders to align platform capabilities with business needsChampion best practices for scalability, resiliency, performance, security, and maintainabilityDrive adoption of cloud-native technologies, AI-driven capabilities, and automation frameworksImprove developer productivity, platform efficiency, and engineering velocityScalability, Performance & QualityEnsure the platform scales to support millions of connected devices globallyDrive improvements in performance, reliability, availability, and software qualityEstablish engineering metrics that enhance customer experience and delivery speedPromote modern practices including automation, testing, observability, and continuous improvementExecutive & Cross-Functional LeadershipPartner with Product, Cloud Operations, Security, Architecture, and Customer Experience teamsTranslating business priorities into technology strategy and execution plansCommunicate platform strategy and impact to executive stakeholdersRepresent engineering in key customer, partner, and executive engagementsRequired Qualifications15+ years leading global engineering teams building and scaling large-scale cloud platforms. Proven track record driving platform transformation, organizational growth, and high-performing teams.

Deep expertise in multi-tenant SaaS, distributed systems, and cloud-native architecture. Strong background in cloud-managed / enterprise networking and systems at massive scale. Ability to translate technology strategy into business impact, balancing innovation, velocity, and quality. Exceptional executive communication and cross-functional leadership skillsOur salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs.

Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. This position's expected total compensation (base salary) is $182,200.00-$250,000.00. The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company's Incentive Plan.
