Job Title100% telecommuteRegular day working hours with some flexibility, but must be available for most of Central Time working hours with a heavier focus on availability in the mornings.ProjectWorking with customers to design data extracts based on their reporting needsCollaborating with Data Engineers on the data exports required from data pipelinesAnalyzing data and combining datasets to develop reporting products/solutionsTeamWe are a team of 9 Data Engineers and Analysts + Engineering Managers/LeadersWe have 1 product owner on the team and work with several others directlyWe have a Scrum Master aligned as wellResponsibilitiesBe a key or core resource for complex issues, data discrepancies, and fire drillsAssesses and interprets customer requests for feasibility, priority, and complexity and documents and delegates those requests within an agile/intake toolConsult with People Analytics and People Analytics team for developing and building prioritized and standard solutions.Develop innovative solutions for both structured and unstructured dataCreate and maintain internal process documentation and customer-facing help documentsLead projects and change initiatives aligned to key priorities of People Analytics and People Analytics customersUnderstands priorities and organizes prescribed and non-prescribed work to meet or exceed deadlines and expectationsDeeply understand and innovate underlying data structures of standard reporting (complex join criteria, table sources, data types, data definitions, dataflows) and be able to find, validate, combine, and export raw and derived data assets.Execute intermediate programming and/or scripting in at least one of our core technologies to build applications.Leads functional calls for technical subjects (like weekly calls with data management or tech teams)Leads data validation efforts and leads data optimization solutions by requesting changes to core solutions in our data lakeReviews work of others and provides guidance on execution, best practices, and areas for improvementWorks with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasksProactively keep data secure and decommission legacy content in our environmentSought out as an expert within the People Analytics community and works cross-functionally across the team/community for shared or advanced solutionsServes as a leader and mentor to analysts in lower grade levelsCoaches, provides feedback, and guides others within the People Analytics communityRequired QualificationsUndergraduate degree or equivalent experience4+ years of experience with Human Capital/People Teams, business or financial analysis, etc.4+ years of experience analyzing data and combining datasets to develop reporting products/solutions3+ years of experience building dashboards and visualizations in a data visualization tool such as Domo, Tableau, QlikView, PowerBI or similar Business Intelligence platformAdvanced level of experience in ETL for visualization tools: complex formulas, complex inner and outer joins, reformatting and manipulating data, etc.Intermediate level of experience in SQL/HiveQL: counts, select statements, filters, groupings, etc.Experience communicating both verbally/written with people at a wide variety of levels in an organizationExperience researching issues, investigating data accuracy, and performing quality checksKnowledge of JavaScript, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), and HTMLPreferred QualificationsExperience in data extraction, manipulation, and managementExperience researching issues, investigating data accuracy, and performing quality checksProject Management skillsAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively with othersExperience creating user stories using the “As a (role), I want (function) so that (business value)” methodologyBasic understanding of statistical methodologies and measurementsExperience leading people (directly or indirectly) or large-scale projects1+ years in an agile environment or with agile tools such as Rally or SwiftRequired Skills: Data AnalysisBasic Qualification:Additional Skills: Data AnalystThis is a high PRIORITY requisition.
