Role Overview
Sr. Construction Risk & Safety Consultant in the Property Casualty team at Holmes Murphy & Associates.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify improvement areas in clients’ risk management programs and provide solutions.
- Provide services for all insurable risks including workers’ compensation, auto, property, liability, and loss‑sensitive/captive programs.
- Analyze, consult, oversee, and direct large complex client risk management programs and processes.
- Enhance clients’ safety performance and culture.
- Deliver on‑site and remote services: training seminars, hazard assessments, strategy development, crisis management procedures, loss trend analysis, policy and procedure development, goal setting, program monitoring, and future initiatives.
- Conduct catastrophic investigation, analysis, and coordination of accidents and incidents.
- Participate in prospective client meetings and assessments, proposing service ideas that meet each prospect’s needs.
- Collaborate with carrier loss‑control and underwriting personnel to add value for shared clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in safety program or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience as a company safety manager, insurance professional, or similar technical role providing risk and safety services to large, complex businesses.
- Industry designations or certifications (ASP, CSP, CHST, OHST, ARM, CFPS) preferred.
- Active state Property Casualty Insurance agent license required or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
- Strong compliance knowledge, problem identification, root‑cause analysis, and implementation of effective solutions.
