Sr. Database Developer (SQL)Length: 6 month contractRemote (PST hours) office is in Santa Ana, CAJob Description:Looking for a SQL Developer with 4+ years of design and development experience who applied database technologies to solve business problems, like high concurrent/transactional supporting databases, MPP Solutions, Analytical, data warehouse. This person will be responsible for architecture, design, performance, and loading data from snowflake to a SQL server using Databricks.Essential Functions:Collaborate with app, product, QA and PMO teams to provide needed support from database team.
Ability to translate business requirement into technical requirements and work with application developers to deliver results.Supports multiple projects, understands capacity of team and responsible for deliveries from his/her team.Designs, develops, and implements complex database systems, tools, and applicationsWrites queries and stored procedures, uses data modeling tools, designs and optimizes databases, or implements at the physical levelDevelops and documents executable code according to functional and technical specifications using structured development methodologies and defined standards.Shares best practices with team members and provide technical leadership.Assists in the development of project and test plans by providing reliable development estimates.Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used:4+ years of working experience on Microsoft SQL database and related technologiesExperienced in designing and developing databases that support high concurrent users with great performanceAdvanced knowledge of relational databasesAdvanced knowledge of database design to produce sound logical and physical data modelsAdvanced knowledge of SQL and coding techniques to code stored procedures and triggersExperience with varied forms of data design, such as online transaction processing, online analytical processing, data warehousing, operational data stores, and decision support systemsShould have worked in Agile project development environmentVery good communication skillsWorking experience with Offshore is plusExperience in working with Real Estate data is preferredExperience with Building reports in Reporting ServicesStrong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databasesExperience with some of the modern relational databasesSkilled at optimizing large, complicated SQL statementsKnowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databasesExperience with creating sub-reports, parameterized reports, link reports, charts and deploying reports and datasetsUnderstand how Grouping and Page Break work in SSRSExperience in Report Optimization Configuration in SSRSEducation:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceRange of Experience:4+ years of directly related experienceRequired Skills:.NET T-SQL SQL Server SSIS/SSRS Databricks Snowflake
