Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized assessments and observational methods.
Craft tailored treatment plans aimed at meeting both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
Deliver engaging one-on-one speech therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, as well as caregivers and families to devise cohesive, effective care strategies.
Provide education for patients and their families to encourage continued progress beyond therapy visits.
Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring continuity of care throughout the therapeutic journey.
Keep accurate documentation in accordance with all relevant state, federal, and organizational standards.
Engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay informed about advancements in the field.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatment techniques applicable to all age groups, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Ability to tailor therapy techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical judgment and adept problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with electronic health records and adherence to documentation protocols.
