An exciting contract opportunity awaits an experienced Special Education Teacher for a resource position supporting 4th and 5th graders. - Provide specialized instruction and support in resource settings for 4th and 5th grade students
- Deliver scheduled pull-out sessions targeting individualized student goals and IEP accommodations
- Offer targeted push-in classroom support when necessary
- Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, staff, and families to ensure academic progress
- Create and implement strategies that promote inclusion, engagement, and self-advocacy skills
- Maintain thorough documentation and communication regarding student needs and progress
- Active Connecticut licensure with Special Education Certification 165 or 265
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Previous experience working in elementary special education resource settings preferred
- Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
This contract runs from August 25, 2026 (or as soon as possible) through June 7, 2027, with a schedule of 8:30am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday. Compensation ranges from $40 to $55 per hour, reflecting your skills and dedication.
