SOX Senior Accounting Analyst

Job OpportunityServes as a key point of contact in the development, documentation and implementation of controls and processes. Create process narratives, flowcharts, risk/control mapping, and identification of design gaps. Assist with training new control/process owners regarding appropriate documentation and evidence of operating effectiveness for key SOX controls.

Participate in walkthroughs of newly designed controls with internal and external audit teams.Required Skills:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA certificate preferred5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience required, Public accounting experience is preferredKnowledge of generally accepted accounting principlesStrong working knowledge of SOX compliance and remediation requirementsUnderstands business processes, process and IT controls and their impact on financial reportingMust combine attention to detail with the ability to envision the big pictureMust have a high degree of proficiency in organization, planning and project managementRequires outstanding ethical standards consistent with company policies, procedures and practicesProven ability to function in a team environment and act as a technical resource and provide information and training to othersStrong PC Skills for word processing, spreadsheet and database applicationsExcellent verbal skills, ability to apply group facilitation techniques and make group presentationsStrong writing skills, including task documentation and report writingProven ability to meet deadlines, including strong time management and organizational skillsAbility to work and interact cross-functionally
