It will enable the production of our customer-facing products, while interfacing closely with key internal stakeholders.

This individual will support construction projects and capital purchases for the construction and facilities organizations.Responsibilities:Work directly with key internal stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive contract management process that ensure a successful project execution cycleDevelop and execute equipment & services procurement strategies with focus on construction projectsPerform market analysis to determine should costs and achieve the best purchasing deals for equipment and services for diverse projectsCreate and negotiate contract documents in collaboration with the legal departmentTrack and report projected and actual spend, assess budgetary risk, and provide clear budgetary analysis to enable timely management team decision makingManage vendor relationships, ensuring clear communication, adherence to contracts, and resolution of any performance or delivery issuesPresent value propositions to SpaceX management, including those related to contract award, cost reviews, cost reduction strategies, and critical supply issuesIdentify and execute cost reduction projects including planning, coordinating with stakeholders, estimating completion, and project updatesPerform advanced quantitative and business process analyses to identify financial impacts of decisions, cost improvement, and performance for assigned categoriesCreate and implement management programs to develop, continuously improve, manage the performance of, and monitor KPIs of the supply baseLead and execute request for proposals to fulfill requirements for defined categories or internal assigned areasPlace purchase orders and resolve blocked invoices related to assigned categoriesDevelop and lead efforts to reduce number of transactionsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience working in one or more of the following; OR 9+ years of experience working in one or more of the following in lieu of a degree:EngineeringPurchasingContract negotiationOperations or supply chain managementMaster production schedulingConstruction, facilities, or industrial plant managementPreferred Skills and Experience:Strong technical background to speak the language of engineers and strong business background to deal with contracts and negotiationsConstruction project management experience and/or construction cost estimate experienceFamiliarity or experience in purchasing or similar procurement related experienceExperience in industrial engineering, construction management, and/or facilities managementStrong budget tracking and cost analytical skillsExtensive project management and organizational skillsExperience managing large scale industrial and commercial construction projectsStrong contract negotiation and document management skillsRemarkable problem-solving skills with a bias for speedQuick learner and ability to prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needsExcellent customer service skillsEffective written, verbal, and presentation communication skillsExceptional analytical and organizational skillsStrong technical knowledge and skills in current technologies and applications (e.g. MS Office Suite, SQL, PowerBI, etc.)Ability to conduct all activities with the highest degree of integrityDetail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environmentAdditional Requirements:Ability to travel and communicate outside of work hours - up to 20% work week travel may be required, including international travelWillingness to work long hours and weekend when needed to meet critical deadlinesThis position is based in Memphis, TN and requires being onsiteITAR Requirements:To conform to U.S.
