This role focuses on building scalable, high-performance solutions that improve transportation visibility, optimize logistics operations, and enhance customer experience.As a Software Engineer IV (Team Lead), you will drive system design, architecture, and technical leadership across distributed systems, working closely with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Inventory, and Data Analytics.Key ResponsibilitiesLead design and architecture of scalable, distributed systemsDevelop high-quality backend services using Java & Spring BootBuild and optimise microservices and RESTful APIsDrive best practices in secure, scalable, and high-performance developmentLead and mentor engineers, breaking down complex work into deliverablesTroubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and production issuesConduct root cause analysis and support cross-team incident resolutionContribute to engineering standards, frameworks, and reusable componentsImplement observability using logging, monitoring, and telemetry toolsCollaborate with DevOps, QA, and Product teams to deliver end-to-end solutionsRequired Skills & Experience7+ years of professional software engineering experienceStrong expertise in: Java, Spring Boot; Microservices & REST APIs; Docker & Kubernetes (Containerization)Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP)Strong system design, scalability, and performance optimization experienceExperience with relational & NoSQL databasesHands-on experience with messaging systems (Kafka/SQS)Familiarity with: CI/CD pipelines; Terraform or Infrastructure as Code; Testing frameworks (Unit, Integration, Load testing)Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Splunk)
