As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:Taking ownership of product design, development of core application frameworks focusing on scalability, usability, performance, and robustnessBuilding API and back-end functionality of our applicationsBringing innovation from the marketplace, contributing to the wider community and striving for innovationUnderstanding the business domain deeply and work closely with business stakeholdersDo What You LoveTo be successful in this role you will:Have 3+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fieldPossess solid backend experience with Java, web application development, REST, microservices, spring boot and caching technologies.Possess good problem solving, analytical skills and is good with data structures and algorithmsHave experience with design patterns, architecture patterns and test driven development.Have experience with Databases, JSON, containers, CI/CD tools, version control software (GIT), servers (i.e Tomcat, Jetty).Have an understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and SDLC best practicesWork in a way that works for youFlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world.
