Software Engineer (AI / LLM)

Denver, CO | onsite once a month | $150,000–$180,000

XD Innovation is going through an exciting period of growth, and we're looking for an additional Senior AI Engineer with a strong Software Engineering background to join our team.

This is not a traditional Data Science or Python-focused position. We're looking for an engineer who has built production software and has experience integrating AI into real-world applications and LLM's

What You'll Do

• Build and integrate AI-powered capabilities into production software.
• Develop scalable APIs and microservices that expose AI functionality to end users.
• Work on solutions including anomaly detection, predictive scoring and root-cause recommendations.
• Partner with our AI Architect and wider engineering team to design and deliver production-ready solutions.
• Turn complex business requirements into practical, scalable AI-powered applications.
• Ensure solutions meet security, data privacy and regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Commercial experience building software products with AI/ML capabilities.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs and microservices.
• You use AI tools extensively in your day to day (Cursor, Claude Code etc)
• Experience taking AI capabilities from concept through to production.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working within enterprise software environments.
