Overview
Optomi, in partnership with a Fortune 10 eCommerce company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Marketplace team. You will design and develop secure, scalable backend services for a cloud marketplace platform using Java, Python, and a wide range of AWS services. This is a long-term contract opportunity working onsite in Seattle 4 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java or Python
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services such as CDK, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, etc.
- Ensure security and identity best practices across all systems
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot applications using CloudWatch and CloudTrail
- Incorporate AI-driven features using Bedrock and other AWS tools
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend development experience with Java or Python
- Strong background in security and identity for cloud applications
- Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD practices
- Familiarity building microfrontends with TypeScript is a plus
