At PlayStation, we are seeking engineers to join a global initiative in robust test automation and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment systems.We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test Contractor (SDET Contractor) who can help ensure we're able to continue to grow our capabilities without negative impact to our passionate user base.What You'll DoSetup test frameworks, and help teams set up automation infrastructureAutomated testing of UI Frameworks, Background Services, Language runtimes, Browser technologies.Develop and implement standard methodologies for automation, continuous build and deploy, automated testing, multi-functional end-to-end testing, including device testing, and performance testingWork with globally distributed teams to engage early and provide continuous delivery of high quality software products that delight Sony customersManage, and monitor various Jenkins Jobs and report statusesIdentify and act on opportunities to improve the QA processExpand testing and automation across teams to promote ownership of qualityWork with console developers to ensure that all features and bug fixes come with automated test coverageMaintain and improve existing Python based automation frameworkReport, track and verify defectsQualificationsA Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalentProven experience writing automated tests in C++, Python, JavaScriptPractical experience using development and deployment tools: Git, Docker, Conan, npmExperience in developing CI pipelines using Jenkins / Github Actions,Experience with Selenium or AppiumExperience with at least one modern web application framework, preferably ReactKnowledge and experience testing APIs, Libraries, SDK / Application Frameworks, Native ApplicationsStrong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to estimate effort and size of featuresExperience with agile development methodologies and TDD processesJoin us at PlayStation and help us build world-class experiences for our users!At SIE, working with our partners, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. Please note that the individual base pay range may vary based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
