Your responsibilities will span people management and ensuring the smooth operation of software systems.Key ResponsibilitiesPeople Management:Mentor and manage a team of software developersSet clear goals, provide guidance, and ensure deadlines are metFoster a collaborative and motivated work environmentKeeping the Lights On:Ensure the stability, reliability, and continuous operation of software systemsAddress any technical issues promptly to minimize downtimeCollaborate with other departments to meet service-level agreementsPerformance Evaluation:Evaluate team members' performance regularlyIdentify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedbackImplement performance improvement plans (PIPs) when necessaryCollaboration:Collaborate with PMO, architects, product owners, scrum masters, and other stakeholdersEscalate risks and concerns effectively and timelyQualificationsExperience:Minimum of 10 years in software development experience within information technology in a highly regulated field such as insurance or finance.5 years minimum within a management roleTechnical Expertise:Strong understanding of software development methodologies, programming languages, and web technologiesProficiency in Microsoft technologies (e.g.,.NET, C#, Azure services)People Skills:Excellent supervisory and communication abilitiesProven experience managing cross-functional teamsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master's degree preferred)Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
