If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and teamwork matter, this is an excellent opportunity for you.Position Summary: As a Shipping/Receiving Worker, you'll lift, transport, store, and load materials and products using cranes, hoists, or forklifts. You will play a vital role in the administration of incoming and outgoing shipments, helping to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our logistics process.Key Responsibilities:Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify accuracy.Maintain records on shipments and prepare items for shipment.Direct movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.Prepare bills of lading and affix shipping labels or stencil shipping information on cartons.Assemble containers or select pre-assembled containers, and insert items into containers.Coordinate with supervisors to ensure smooth flow of materials or products across departments.Review records for accuracy and compliance; assess stock levels.Requisition containers and supplies for delivery to work stations.Verify and prepare records such as routing slips, material requisitions, and job orders.Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistanceMust be comfortable with physical demands including standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.Strong vision abilities required (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth-perception, and focus).Experience with MRP systems, email, spreadsheets, and word processing software.Proficient in electronic databases and data entry.
