We are seeking experienced machine setup technicians who take pride in quality, safety, and efficiency.Position SummaryThe Operating Technician is responsible for preparing, setting up, starting, and running thermoforming manufacturing equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring parts meet quality specifications while maintaining productivity and safety standards.Setup experience is required for this role.Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup & OperationSet up, operate, and troubleshoot thermoforming equipmentEnsure efficient setup including tooling, materials, and production ratesInspect machinery and tooling prior to startupMonitor machine performance and adjust as neededPerform routine maintenance and cleaningIdentify and address nonconforming materials or productsQualityEnsure parts meet established quality standardsPerform quality checks and documentationFollow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Maintain clean and organized work areaCommunicationComplete required production documentationProvide clear shift hand-off updates to incoming team membersCommunicate equipment or quality issues promptlySafetyFollow all established safety proceduresWear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Participate in safety programs and continuous improvement initiativesMinimum QualificationsAt least 1 year of manufacturing experienceHigh School Diploma or GEDMachine setup experience requiredMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilityAbility to read, write, and communicate in English for safety and quality purposesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionPreferred SkillsExperience operating thermoforming or similar manufacturing equipmentKnowledge of quality control principles and SPCBasic computer skillsStrong organization and time management skillsPhysical RequirementsLift up to 10 lbs continuouslyLift 11–30 lbs regularlyLift 31–50 lbs occasionallyFrequent standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and twistingIf you are dependable, mechanically inclined, and ready to join a stable company with a strong team culture in Elkhart, we encourage you to apply.ABR Employment Services is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
