10 years (Note: As with all ATS openings, an MS degree will be regarded as one year of experience)
Duties
- Prepare traffic impact analysis studies
- Prepare corridor or intersection improvement feasibility studies
- Participate in traffic operations analysis in simulation software and Highway Capacity Manual
- Develop interchange justification reports
- Design traffic control plans
- Prepare signing and striping plans
- Perform traffic safety studies
Minimum Requirements for the Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering or a related degree (post-graduate degrees are always preferred)
- Registered as Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- Register as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE)
- Experience with the Highway Capacity Manual
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience in VISSIM and Synchro
- Strong writing skills for reports and memos
- Great team player
