We're partnering with a well-established public accounting firm seeking a Tax Senior Manager or Tax Director to join its growing tax practice. Key Responsibilities- Lead the review and delivery of complex tax engagements involving partnerships, S corporations, high-net-worth individuals, estates, trusts, and multi-state tax matters while providing strategic tax planning, advisory services, and representation before federal and state taxing authorities.
- Manage client engagements from planning through completion, ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, timely delivery, budget adherence, and analysis of financial statements supporting tax engagements.
- Build and strengthen long-term client relationships by serving as a trusted advisor, identifying opportunities to expand services, and providing practical tax and business guidance.
- Mentor, coach, and develop staff and managers through technical leadership, collaboration, process improvements, and the effective use of technology.
- Support the firm's continued growth through business development, networking, client retention, and thoughtful evaluation of prospective client relationships.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, sound judgment, and flexibility during peak tax seasons while contributing to the firm's long-term success and future leadership opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation preferred.
- Active CPA license.
- 8+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience.
- Strong experience with pass-through entities, complex individual taxation, estates, and trusts.
- Experience reviewing complex tax returns and managing client relationships.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
