Enscicon is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer for a client supporting upstream and midstream oil & gas projects. This position will provide structural engineering and design support for both new and existing facilities, taking projects from early concept through issued-for-construction deliverables.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural steel, reinforced concrete, and foundation design within industrial or oil & gas facilities.

Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for steel structures, equipment supports, platforms, foundations, and other industrial facility structures.
- Design spread footings, mat foundations, drilled piers, and reinforced concrete systems.
- Perform steel connection design and detailing.
- Develop structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and supporting engineering documentation.
- Perform hand calculations and utilize structural analysis software to evaluate loads, members, connections, and foundations.
- Review engineering calculations and drawings for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance with applicable codes.
- Conduct site walkdowns and field investigations at operating facilities and construction sites.
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and other engineering disciplines to deliver complete project packages.
- Provide technical direction and support to designers throughout project execution.
- Support projects from initial scope development through construction, testing, and start-up activities.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required, with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states.
- 6–10 years of civil/structural engineering experience, including steel and reinforced concrete design.
- Experience supporting natural gas processing, upstream, midstream, or similar industrial facilities.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel design, reinforced concrete, foundations, steel connections, and seismic design.
- Working knowledge of applicable U.S. codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, and ACI 318.
- Proficiency with RISA 3D or STAAD.Pro and Mathcad.
- Ability to perform field investigations and gather design information at operating plants and construction sites.
- Strong communication, organization, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Civil/site design experience including grading, stormwater, site planning, and access roads.
- Experience working within a 3D CAD/modeling environment such as Navisworks.
- AutoCAD and 3D modeling experience.
- NCEES Record.
Schedule
This is an on-site position in the Denver metro area. Employees may work either a 4/10 schedule (Monday–Thursday) or a traditional 5/8 schedule (Monday–Friday). Some travel to project and client sites may be required.
