Network traffic engineering is a critical infrastructure service for Google.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering every network flow for Google and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services end-to-end, in accordance with network product definitions, in compliance with Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and business policies, and optimized for efficiency. You will ensure designs are efficient and reliable to maintain network availability and user satisfaction for Google services and Google Cloud customers.Responsibilities:Provide technical leadership on projects.Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions.Build next generation traffic engineering functionality.Design, implement and qualify new networking features, including software architecture evolution, new solver algorithms, network programming coordination/management, and availability, improving mechanisms.Work closely with other UTE team members, test engineers and Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to ship our product releases.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
