Senior Software Engineer

Join us in building the next generation of AI infrastructure that will power innovation across our organization. We're seeking a senior software engineer to support our Platform team, which owns the AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, and security posture for all AI capabilities. In this role, you'll help build and maintain the foundation for our AI services while supporting a broader ecosystem of AI-enabled applications.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure using AWS services (EKS, Terraform, IAM, Route 53).
• Translate high-level stakeholder goals into engineering outcomes and platform solutions.
• Mentor engineers and grow development best practices, engineering standards, and technical governance for the team.
• Establish and enforce security best practices for infrastructure systems and data, including certificate and identity management.

Required Skills:

• Experience with AWS services such as EKS, Terraform, IAM, and Route 53.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Helm/Kustomize.
• Experience with Docker/containerization.
• Experience configuring and using observability tooling such as the Elastic Stack (Kibana) and Grafana/Prometheus.

Nice to Have:

• Experience developing technical policies and governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI inference serving technologies (vLLM, LiteLLM, etc.).

Experience Required: 12 years with Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or 16 years without degree

Location: Columbia, MD

Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph required

Salary Range: $204,000 - $247,000
