Senior Software Engineer: PDLC

Summary

Lead the design and delivery of production-ready agentic AI solutions for retail operations. Partner with business and technology teams to turn complex problems into measurable outcomes while balancing user experience, quality, scalability, and cost.

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic solutions, including orchestration, tool-use pipelines, enterprise integrations, context engineering, and memory management.
• Develop evaluations, safety guardrails, observability, and production metrics for reliability, accuracy, performance, cost, and security.
• Make and communicate technical trade-offs, lead design and code reviews, and ensure solutions meet engineering and security standards.
• Collaborate with product, business, infrastructure, and security stakeholders; mentor junior engineers and participate in hiring.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience designing and delivering complex, scalable distributed systems.
• Production experience with LLMs, foundation model APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, embedding-based search, AI agents, and agentic workflows.
• Experience with context engineering, evaluation frameworks, safety guardrails, agent memory and state, and agentic frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python and cloud-native development on AWS and/or GCP; experience working across technical and business teams.
• Strong communication, product judgment, and experience with agile development; a degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
