Senior Software EngineerOur client, a global investment firm, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Miami, FL!Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and SQL.Build robust, user-friendly tools that enhance project management, workflow tracking, and resource planning across teams.Collaborate with stakeholders including investment professionals, operations, and technology teams to gather requirements and implement scalable solutions.Ensure application performance, data accuracy, and reliability through code reviews, testing, and performance tuning.Maintain and improve existing software systems, identifying and resolving issues proactively.Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to long-term technical planning.Document technical designs, workflows, and support procedures for cross-functional use.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.5+ years of professional software development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Java and SQL (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server).Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), including version control, testing, and CI/CD practices.Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in an investment firm or the financial services industry.Background in designing or implementing project management, workflow, or task tracking applications.Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and RESTful API development is a plus.Understanding of Agile methodologies.
