Summary

Build and maintain scalable, resilient checkout and wishlist systems that power high-volume eCommerce traffic. Lead design and implementation of end-to-end features across web UI, APIs, and cloud infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional partners. Mentor engineers, participate in architecture and code reviews, and support production services including on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and collaborate with local and partner teams to define system architecture and features.
  • Participate in agile planning, design reviews, and code reviews to ensure quality and testability.
  • Write maintainable code for RESTful services, event-driven systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Build full stack features covering Web UI, APIs, and infrastructure and create reusable cross-platform components.
  • Implement automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Instrument code with metrics, alerts, and dashboards and lead cross-functional troubleshooting for performance and operational issues.
  • Mentor other engineers and help decompose designs into implementable work units; participate in 24x7 on-call rotations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of professional experience developing RESTful services and event-driven applications.
  • Experience with Web UI technologies (JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js, TypeScript) and backend languages such as Go, Java, or .NET.
  • Experience with AWS services (Kubernetes, ElastiCache/Redis, DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudFormation) or similar cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, test automation, and observability tools (New Relic, Splunk).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a curiosity for adopting AI to optimize processes.
