As a Software Engineer of AiDP data services team, you will work on building database managed services and data streaming platform that power some of Apple's most critical business use cases. You will collaborate with exceptional database engineering teams and internal stakeholders in building these solutions. AI & Data Platforms (AiDP) is IS&T's engine for AI-powered innovation. The team brings together data, application development, and machine learning - including generative AI - along with data services and customer success functions, to help IS&T build solutions more efficiently and streamline the adoption and embedding of generative AI across Apple.
Description
We are looking for a passionate software engineer with experience in building cloud based data engineering solutions. We expect the candidate to influence platform tools, APIs and architecture. This role requires strong collaboration with internal teams to deliver a best in class product in a dynamic environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of software development experience with Python/Go
- Hands on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or AliCloud
- Experience with databases such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL in production environments
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with REST or gRPC API development
- Knowledge in multi-threading, concurrency and parallelism
- Able to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work in a cross-functional environment
