Senior Security Engineer

• Data Security Engineer - Engineering tooling with Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Data Classification, Data Protection, Google Cloud (GCP), and AWS.

Required skills:

• Engineering background for Security and Operational Tooling.
• Data Security background - Data Protection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Data Classification.
• Experience with AWS Security.
• Experience Securing GCP (Google Cloud platform).
• Email Security Management (Google Workspace).
• AWS Data Security controls

Preferred skill:

• Security Email Gateway - SEG (Example: Proofpoint, Barracuda, Minecraft, etc.)

Responsibilities:

• The Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing controls that protect enterprise systems and data from unauthorized access, modification, or loss. This role requires expertise in cyber security, email platforms, cloud environments, and data protection operations.
• Operate as a self-motivated security engineer with strong troubleshooting capabilities across a wide range of information technology systems and security platforms.
• Develop and maintain custom rules within protection and monitoring tools to meet business and regulatory requirements.
• Identify risks and vulnerabilities, and design and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead and support the design, implementation, and ongoing management of security technologies and services, including acting in project leadership roles when required.
• Administer enterprise email platforms (Google Workspace Mail, Secure Email Gateway) to protect against phishing, malware, and data exfiltration.
• Manage and optimize cloud security controls within AWS environments, including identity and access management (IAM), logging/monitoring, network security, data protection and configuration security, best practices.
• Support data protection operations, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
• Drive data classification and labeling initiatives and integrate with DLP technologies.
• Manage and tune DLP policies across multiple channels and platforms.
• Support compliance initiatives, including audits, assessments, and control documentation.
• Ensure consistent deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of security tools and platforms.
