Onsite Contract Project & Process Management

Growing company seeks a leader to manage daily operations, performance, safety, customer satisfaction, and team leadership. This role plays a critical part in implementing strategic initiatives, leading operational processes, and driving long-term business growth in alignment with the company’s mission to be the most trusted contractor in California. The GM will also serve as a key liaison between the branch and corporate leadership, supporting consistency across all branches.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise all branch staff, including administrative, technical, and field operations personnel
  • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and team development
  • Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and operational protocols across the branch

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Lead all day-to-day operations, including safety, logistics, and field execution; implement EOS processes such as L10s, scorecards, and issue tracking; drive process improvements; own branch P&L with responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, and EBITDA targets; collaborate with finance on financial reporting and job costing; support cost control, pricing, and margin initiatives.
  • Business Development: Drive sales efforts utilizing CRM, manage key accounts, and pursue regional outreach; improve customer presentations and proposals; identify and pursue new growth opportunities in municipal, industrial, and agricultural sectors.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Partner on acquisition screening and integration; support launching new branches; formalize vendor and subcontractor partnerships.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Promote career growth through training; mentor future leaders; foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability; represent the company at industry events and community initiatives; coordinate with internal teams; perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in pump and well systems, water infrastructure, or technical services
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
  • Success in leading teams in safety-critical environments
  • Strong financial, forecasting, and KPI skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational software (CRM, ERP)
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Servant-leader mindset and commitment to team development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with EOS implementation or leadership
  • Experience scaling operations or managing multiple locations
  • Involvement in M&A or regional expansion
  • Knowledge of water utility and agricultural clients in California
