You will work at the intersection of customer needs, product strategy, and technical execution to shape how Dedrone products leverage RF, Radar, Camera, Networking, Software, and Firmware technologies to deploy, power, and operate systems.We're looking for someone who can translate mission and customer needs into clear requirements, contribute to a product roadmap, and drive alignment across engineering and business stakeholders while making thoughtful tradeoffs across performance, reliability, cost, power, and field quality. You will partner closely with electrical engineering, hardware engineering, systems engineering, RF engineering, firmware, software, operations, manufacturing, compliance, and external partners to ensure Dedrone's capabilities are robust and differentiated in real-world public safety environments.Location: Onsite at our Sterling, Virginia or Seattle Office 4 days a week Reports to: Sr.
Director of Product, Dedrone Direct Reports: N/AContribute to product strategy and own roadmap execution for defense solutions within DedroneDefine product requirements and prioritization for solution, hardware, and network design initiativesTranslate customer, business, and operational needs into clear technical priorities for defense and counter-UAS field behaviorWork with external vendors and partners to support product strategy and executionPartner with RF, ME, EE, Firmware, Software, Compliance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to drive end-to-end product decisionsEnsure product decisions reflect real-world field conditions and solve problems in mission-critical environmentsDrive tradeoff decisions across BOM cost, system capabilities, schedule, manufacturability, and qualityBuild alignment across cross-functional stakeholders and influence roadmap decisionsDefine success metrics and use customer feedback, field data, and operational insights to improve product quality and connectivity outcomesWhat Success Looks LikeCustomer adoption of product features grows with high customer satisfactionProduct, business development, and engineering teams are aligned on high-value product investments and tradeoffsPlatform decisions improve reliability, performance, and customer trust in real-world deploymentsTeams make earlier, better-informed decisions around certification, field quality, and launch readinessCustomer pain points tied to defense systems performance are better understood, prioritized, and reduced over timeWhat You Bring3+ years of product management experience, with 1+ years in defense, public safety, counter-UAS, or technically complex hardware/software products; demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignmentFamiliarity with wireless, embedded, or sensor domains — including some combination of RF, radar, camera, cellular, Wi-Fi, GNSS, or connectivity performanceExperience owning or contributing to hardware products deployed in operationally demanding or mission-critical environmentsComfort with system architecture documentation, hardware/software integration concepts, and multi-discipline technical stacksStrong product judgment and ability to prioritize across customer value, technical complexity, business impact, and execution riskAbility to operate in ambiguous, high-dependency environments with multiple stakeholdersStrong written and verbal communication skills and systems thinkingTrack record of delivering products or major capabilities with measurable customer and business impactPreferred QualificationsExperience with mission-critical, defense, cUAS, public safety, or other operationally demanding connected productsExperience working with hardware RF, radar, camera, network, embedded, or wireless systems engineering teamsTechnical degree or MBA is a plusThis role is based out of our Sterling Office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation.
