The Role
We are seeking a Senior Plant Manager to lead our Seattle manufacturing site. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving safe, efficient, and profitable operations while developing people and strengthening a culture of performance and accountability. As the Senior Plant Manager, you will have full accountability for site performance, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, sustainability, and people development.
You will lead a complex, two-line gypsum wallboard operation in a unionized environment, translating strategy into disciplined daily execution while building a strong and engaged workforce.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across all plant functions
- Champion World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive a proactive safety culture with a goal of zero incidents
- Lead cross-functional teams across production, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and EHS
- Own plant financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and capital planning
- Use data-driven leadership to improve reliability, efficiency, and customer performance
- Build and develop a high-performing leadership team and strengthen the talent pipeline
- As the senior leader on site, you will be accountable for driving results while positioning the plant for long-term success.
Is this job for you?
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (Master’s preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive manufacturing or operations leadership experience
- 5+ years of experience in a gypsum plant as a Sr. Plant Manager, Plant Manager, or equivalent
- Proven experience leading complex manufacturing operations and high-performing teams
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and capital planning
- Demonstrated success driving WCM, Lean, or continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong safety leadership and commitment to regulatory compliance
- Experience in a U.S. union manufacturing environment, highly preferred
- Experience with SAP or ERP-based plant systems
Benefits
- Frank national pay range for this position: $165,500 to $264,500 per year.
- Base salary may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
- In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 24% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures.
- Targeted Total Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $205,200 to $327,900.
- Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and may vary based on company and individual performance and are not a guarantee.
- Role may also be eligible to participate in the Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, awarded annually at management’s discretion.
