About the Role
Paid acquisition is one of the highest-leverage bets in Business right now and is our lead engine for acquisition. The Senior Performance Marketing Manager owns Paid NCAs and CAC for Business. We need someone who has built and scaled paid media engines and who operates in a high-velocity, data-driven, digital marketing ecosystem.
This is a hands-on operator role: you'll own the decisions of where and how we invest in paid marketing, plan campaigns, and be accountable for results. You'll manage agency relationships, own the adtech stack and its roadmap, and work directly with PMs, engineers, and analysts to build the measurement and tooling infrastructure that lets paid acquisition scale.
You report to the Head of Marketing and will be the senior marketing leader managing $XX million in paid budget, deploying campaigns across US, CAN, UK, and EU. This is not a strategy-and-hand-off role. If you want the authority and the mandate to own paid end to end - this is it.
Coming from an agency background is a plus - we want the rigor and platform depth that comes from managing multiple high-stakes initiatives. What we need on top of that is ownership: you'll carry the number, not the client.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3+ days per week in the Seattle headquarters.
You Will:
• Own the Paid new customer acquisition (NCA) outcomes and target for Business. The paid NCA number is the business's primary acquisition metric.
• Own the budget and spend decisions impacting Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC). Manage CAC efficiency across channels with full budget authority and reallocation rights.
• Own the agency relationship end to end: briefing, weekly paid marketing metrics reviews, monthly and quarterly planning, roadmap alignment, and contract accountability. Hold the agency to output standards, not effort.
• Run campaigns hands-on across Meta and Google Ads with agency support: campaign architecture, bid strategy, audience segmentation, creative testing, and optimization.
• Expand into incremental channels (LinkedIn, programmatic, affiliate, influencer-led performance) based on CAC signals, not speculation.
• Drive experimentation: brief the creative team, run structured A/B tests, and feed winning signals back into production. You know that creative is a performance lever that feeds signals back to the campaign.
• Own the adtech roadmap for Business. Work directly with engineers and PMs to scope and ship integrations. Define and maintain the measurement infrastructure: pixel implementation, conversion tracking, UTM governance, and data pipeline integrity. You are the last line of defense on attribution accuracy.
• Lead incrementality testing and match market testing, and mixed media modeling with the Analytics team. Have the judgement and experience to make high quality investment decisions, even when attribution is imperfect.
You have:
• 8-10 years in performance or growth marketing, with at least 3 years hands-on managing Meta and Google Ads campaigns at meaningful scale, not oversight of someone else doing it.
• An acquisition target and CAC number you've directly owned, with the data to back up how you moved it at scale.
• Experience owning an ongoing agency metrics and performance review - you've set the agenda, held the agency to outcomes, and made the call when the relationship needed to change
• Deep fluency with paid social and paid search bidding strategies: Smart Bidding, Advantage+, custom audiences, lookalikes, exclusion logic, and the tradeoffs between automation and control.
• Hands-on experience with measurement infrastructure: conversion tracking, attribution modeling, incrementality testing, and the ability to QA your own data pipeline.
• Direct adtech experience - evaluating, onboarding, and managing vendors (DSPs, CDPs, creative intelligence platforms). You know what earns a place in the stack and what doesn't
What Makes This Different
• Full ownership, not shared accountability. You are accountable for new acquisitions driven by Paid Marketing. That means you control the budget, the channel mix, the agency, and the adtech stack.
Compensation: $180,000
We look forward to reviewing your application. We encourage everyone to apply - even if every box isn't checked for what you are looking for or what is required.
