We’re looking for a Senior Kafka Administrator with strong Confluent Platform expertise to manage on-prem Kafka clusters, lead hardware refreshes, and improve platform reliability, performance, and automation.
Location: Denver, CO or St. Louis, MO (Onsite)
Duration: 6 months (possible extension)
Work Authorization: USC & GC Candidates Only
Key Skills:
- 4+ years of hands-on Kafka administration in production environments
- Strong expertise in Confluent Platform and Kafka internals
- Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, MirrorMaker / Confluent Replicator
- On-prem cluster upgrades, hardware refreshes, migrations, and performance tuning
- Linux, networking, scripting, and DevOps automation
- Monitoring tools: Datadog, Grafana, JMX exporters
- High availability, disaster recovery, and incident management
- AWS MSK experience is a plus
What We’re Looking For:
A senior Kafka professional who can lead on-prem cluster refreshes, ensure high availability and performance, automate operational processes, and deliver comprehensive documentation and runbooks.
