This role is responsible for ensuring that physical systems are properly designed, integrated, installed, maintained, and supported throughout their lifecycle.

You will own the physical integration of equipment into customer environments and work across engineering, operations, suppliers, manufacturing, and field teams to deliver robust, reliable systems.

This position requires an engineer who understands how designs translate into real-world installations and who can balance performance, manufacturability, installation, serviceability, reliability, and cost.

What You'll Do

Physical Systems Integration

  • Lead integration of mechanical and electromechanical systems into customer facilities.
  • Define interfaces between hardware, controls, sensors, wiring, power systems, and installed equipment.
  • Develop installation requirements, operating specifications, and service expectations.
  • Ensure systems are practical to build, install, maintain, and support.

Mechanical Design & Product Development

  • Design and improve mechanical assemblies, mounting systems, enclosures, brackets, and related hardware.
  • Drive improvements in manufacturability, cost, reliability, and serviceability.
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings and documentation.

Systems Engineering

  • Develop and maintain:
  • System architecture
  • Interface Control Documents (ICDs)

  • Configuration management processes

Supplier & Vendor Leadership

  • Develop technical requirements and specifications for suppliers.
  • Review and approve vendor designs.
  • Define validation and acceptance criteria.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve product performance and reliability.

Field Operations & Reliability

  • Partner closely with Operations and field teams.
  • Support installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability and serviceability of deployed systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience developing, integrating, and supporting complex physical or electromechanical systems.
  • Strong CAD and mechanical design experience.
  • Experience managing engineering drawings and configuration-controlled documentation.
  • Experience defining system interfaces, requirements, tolerances, and validation criteria.
  • Experience working directly with suppliers and external vendors.
  • Experience supporting products through manufacturing, installation, and field operation.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and technical leadership skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Denver, Colorado five days per week.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Automated parking systems
  • Heavy equipment
  • Aerospace
  • Defense systems
  • Robotics or mechatronics
  • Controls engineering exposure
  • PLC experience
  • Building codes, permitting, or AHJ coordination
  • Product validation and quality systems

Why This Role Stands Out

This is a highly visible role with broad ownership across engineering, operations, suppliers, installation, and field performance.

You'll have the opportunity to influence not only how the product is designed, but how it is built, deployed, maintained, and improved in real-world environments.

For engineers who enjoy solving the difficult challenges that exist between design and reality, this role offers exceptional breadth, ownership, and impact.

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range is $155,000 to $210,000, depending on experience, technical depth, and overall qualifications.
