Senior Full-stack Engineer - Mapping Web Services

Full-Stack EngineerThe HD Mapping team is seeking an experienced full-stack engineer to lead development of the web services that support the creation, cataloging, and maintenance of 3D HD maps deployed across Zoox's fleet. This role will be instrumental in scaling our mapping operations into multiple new cities.In this role, you will:Own and architect backend services (FastAPI) for the HD Mapping team's web infrastructureSupport development of frontend tools for interacting with Zoox's maps (TypeScript, React, MUI, Deck.gl)Automate complex pipelines and workflowsMentor team members on web technologies and distributed systemsEstablish guidelines and refactor existing code to follow best practicesQualificationsStrong experience in backend development and distributed systemsFrontend experience and knowledge of best practices (proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and React)Knowledge of relational database design (Postgres) and RESTful API developmentProven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor othersExperience automating complex workflows (Airflow)Bonus QualificationsExperience with FastAPI, Kubernetes, and ArgoCIKnowledge of geospatial data and coordinate systems$201,000 - $276,000 a year Base Salary Range There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary.

Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level.
