Senior Estimating Manager

The Senior Estimating Manager is responsible for leading the overall management of the bid process for a project. This role is responsible for understanding the deliverables, developing a work plan, and identifying resources required, while coordinating with internal teams to ensure compliance with the Request for Proposals (RFP).
Minimum qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture or related field or equivalent relevant experience
- A minimum of seven (7) years' experience in estimating for commercial construction, minimum of two (2) years managing Estimators
- Experience leading the bidding process for multiple complex projects
- Experience with a variety of building types
- Knowledge of principles and practices of engineering and construction management, including safety, quality, constructability and sustainability standards
- Leadership level communication and organization skills
Technical job knowledge includes:
- Leading bid assembly on large, complex pursuits
- Applying deep understanding of complex trades such as division 2, 15 and 16 to the estimating process
- Maintaining trade partner/supplier relationships; leveraging trade partner and supplier relationships to inform business decisions
- Utilizing knowledge of historical data from estimates/bids to use externally and for internal bid reviews
- Utilizing lessons learned from the trade partner buyout process to improve business practices and minimize risk
- Leading project meetings and client presentations
- Providing oversight and guidance to Engineers/Sr Engineers/Estimating Managers (i.e. risk management, value engineering, constructability, general process, scoping and pricing feedback)
- Conducting performance reviews for junior staff

The base salary (or hourly) range for this position is $130,000.00 - $175,000.00
