Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Senior Electrical Superintendent in Miami, FL. The Senior Electrical Superintendent is responsible for the oversight and execution of electrical field operations on large-scale commercial, industrial, and institutional projects up to 200,000 man-hours. This leadership role manages a workforce of up to 100 employees, ensuring technical excellence in the installation of complex systems like switchgear and distribution panels while upholding the highest safety and NEC standards.

Annual Salary: $140,000 to $160,000 Annually BOE

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead field crews and up to six supervisors for projects totaling up to 100 employees and 200,000 man-hours.
  • Make hiring and firing decisions for project personnel and manage performance through documentation, training, and disciplinary actions.
  • Supervise and perform the installation of conduit and cable trays, including proficiency in bending 1/2" through 4" EMT, GRC, and IMC.
  • Coordinate and set up large cable pulls, including pulling and splicing wire and managing complex circuiting.
  • Install and oversee the setup of switchgear, distribution panels, transformers, fire alarm systems, and three-phase motors.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and job specifications to lay out electrical work and prepare sketches for wiring and equipment locations.
  • Perform circuit continuity testing using instruments such as ohmmeters and meggers to ensure electrical compatibility and safety.
  • Manage job site security, material deliveries, and the procurement of tools through the warehouse manager.
  • Conduct weekly site safety inspections and enforce all OSHA regulations and company environmental health and safety policies.
  • Oversee trenching, excavating, and the installation of underground conduit systems as required by project specifications.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of documented experience in the electrical field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of prior experience in a supervisory role within the electrical trade.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent demonstrated field experience.
  • Deep working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical theory.
  • Proficiency in operating large pipe bending equipment and wire pulling machines.
  • Strong reasoning skills with the ability to apply mathematical concepts such as geometry, fractions, and ratios to practical field situations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals in English.
  • Proven track record of managing project schedules, manpower planning, and meeting production standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move more than 100 pounds.
  • Perform work at various heights using ladders, scaffolds, and manlifts.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance for extended periods.
  • Possess normal vision (with or without correction) and the ability to distinguish colors.
  • Willingness to work in all elements including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to reach with hands and arms to handle or feel objects and tools.

Pay Transparency

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
